HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 36                                                 
Urging the federal Department of Health and Human Services to                 
repeal the "100-hour rule" relating to employment of certain                   
persons receiving AFDC and to replace it with a regulation that                
will serve as an incentive for AFDC recipients to accept part-time

Representative Phillips moved and asked unanimous consent that the             
following committee substitute be adopted in lieu of the original              
resolution:                                                                    
                                                                               
CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 36(HES)                                     
Urging the federal Department of Health and Human Services to                 
repeal the "100-hour rule" relating to employment of certain                   
persons receiving AFDC and to replace it with a regulation that                
will serve as an incentive for AFDC recipients to accept                       
employment of more than 100 hours a month.                                     
                                                                               
There being no objection, it was so ordered.                                   
                                                                               
Representative Phillips moved and asked unanimous consent that                 
CSHJR 36(HES) be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading               
and placed on final passage.  There being no objection, it was so              
ordered.                                                                       
                                                                               
CSHJR 36(HES) was read the third time.
